My name is Tanner Jones, and I feel that I am a promising student athlete. I have many goals both academically and athletically that I would like to achieve throughout my life. Academically I would like to go to a college with an excellent pre-med program and transfer to an undergraduate school to study my profession there after. The career that I am wanting to go into is in the veterinarian field. Athletically I would like to become a state champion next year and I have high hopes of wrestling in college.
I feel that my leadership qualities are what set me apart from others that are my age. During the previous season my team had one captain because coach felt that seniority is what mattered most, but we lacked motivation. With the team being made of a majority of freshmen I felt that it was my job to step up without being asked and teach the team to give it their all on the mat and also review their matches so they could learn what they done wrong. I also have a lot of humility because I have had my fair share of losses out on the Matt. I have only wrestled for a few years and this past season I feel that I really stepped my game up and improved.
My best qualities are by far my grades and my work ethic. I am the type of person that will work hard for what they want to achieve in life both in the class room or the gym. Being an honor roll student and also a promising athlete with a good work ethic are what I feel will make me a good candidate for any team because those around me will begin to develop the same qualities as well.
