Personal Statement
Foremost, I am a wrestler, I am most identified with that based on my accomplishments, but I am more than that. I am an individual with flair, personality, and color. And the one thing I would like you to know about me is that I am passionate about wrestling and getting the most out of life. I spend my extra time coaching my local youth team and my high school teammates about the sport I love. This sport has given me so much and I am honored to give back to it. My personal creed is to enjoy every moment whether I am mat side, playing “buttons” with my parents and grandparents, or hitting a cartwheel double. You only get one chance at life, so live, laugh, love and foremost…make it memorable and be yourself.
As a wrestler, I am a Fargo National finalist, a Reno WOW finalist, and a 2x Nevada NIAA Div1 high school state finalist. I wrestle year-round and have won at all levels of Freestyle, Folkstyle, and Greco. I am in my junior year in high school and I am working towards my goals of becoming a state and national champion. In school I am carrying a 3.0 GPA and am part of my school’s nationally recognized culinary team. I will be going to college to study Education, Hotel Management, Culinary Arts, and/or Business Administration. I plan on opening up my own restaurant/bakery after college or teaching and coaching wrestling.
I would like to earn a scholarship to wrestle in college and would like to continue to perfect my craft and earn a spot to wrestle in the Olympics in Greco. I know the only way to achieve these dreams is to dream big, work hard , dedicate, and sacrifice. I do all these things to reach my goals and help my teammates reach theirs.
