I live everyday to become a better me. Whether it's at home, in school or on the mat, I push myself to excel beyond the point in which I was the previous day. Some people go to practice because they have to in order to participate in their game/match; however, I go to practice everyday to not only become a better athlete, but to also train in order to rise and overcome my next challenge or obstacle in life. You may break down under pressure or let tough times stop you from accomplishing your dreams in life but that's not me. Difficult times serve simply as a test throughout your life, and I've never been one to fail a challenge. My favorite part about wrestling is that true grind during a formal practice, a "free-time" workout or best of all when you meet it during a match. That true grit that is faced when you believe that there's nothing left in you, but you still push forward until that goal is reached. Nothing compares to it in life and those who crumble when the going gets tough will never meet their full potential. My athletic career is very important to me, I will keep a strict balance between my sports and academics. I look forward to my future education leading me into the field of medicine. I plan to first earn a degree as a Physician's Assistant, I will then move on to earn my Doctorates and spend the remainder of my career working in Pediatrics. As I pursue these degrees I will display characteristics of a vigorous and dedicated student-athlete, always striving for excellence.
