Dear Perspective Coaches,
My name is Richard Limone and I began wrestling in my sophomore year of HS. I continually keep growing in my knowledge and love for the sport. I spend a lot of time researching various aspects of the sport to learn new moves and take private lessons as well. My school offers open mats and generally attend each one, unless a school project or assignment needs to take precedence. During much of my free time, I spend at my wrestling club or the gym building up strength and endurance.
My goals are simple; Wrestle for your program. Of course that will take a lot of hard work and dedication. I have a very strong work ethic in all that I do. Whether it's training for an upcoming match or tournament or a test in school, if you look up in the dictionary the meaning of 100% Dedication, a picture of me would be there. I am the perfect candidate to consider for your program. I believe strongly in teamwork and good sportsmanship, but also have a strong desire to win. Being humble is one of my greatest attributes. It's important to know that I was honored by HS coach in that first year with the Team Sportsmanship Award!
My first year of wrestling taught me the stronger the opponent I faced, the better I learn and utilize it to my advantage. I had the pleasure of wrestling on both the Junior Varsity and Varsity squads throughout that first season and found success and losses equally. What I can simply state is that if I want to be the best, I have to wrestle the best and work harder than they do.
Thank you for taking the time to view my profile and read my personal statement. If I do not hear from you, you can expect that you'll be hearing from me.
Best Regards,
Richard Limone
