Personal Statement
I am 5'3 140 pounds and the best thing I have going for me when it comes to wrestling is the fact that I am stronger than everyone I wrestle. Another thing is tht my "go to" moves are moves that I have been drilling in practice for years and a good amount of them are unorthodox. I am a 2 time state champ and I am going into my senior year and most likely I am going to be a 3 time state champ after this seaason. This is going to be my 4th year being varsity and my team has only lost 1 dual meet while I have been on it. We also won the 2010 state championships and I am going to be a captain this year.
When its time to wrestle live I always try new things and ask my coach what i need to work on and thats what I try to do when I wrestle live. I am always looking to improve on my technique and I always listen to anyone who has any suggestions or advice towards my wrestling such as teamates or coaches. If anyone asks me for help on a specific position or how to counter a move or something that someone does I will help them out to the best of my abilities.
I have always wanted to wrestle in college and it will also open opportunities for my future. I really like being a part of a team and I also really like building a good relationship with my teammates and coaches. I am currently undecided in what major I want to take.
I want to wrestle Division 1 or 2 in college and my freshmen year I am willing to start my freshmen year at 125 or 133. Basically whatever weight the coach wants me to go I will go In my 9 years of wrestling i have never not made weight once. I do not think that I am going to have a hard time making the transition to college wrestling because I am pretty strong and I am always open to changing up what i do. I also have no preference on school size or location as well
