Joshua Gilbert '15 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Kaleb Gilbert and I only have one dream; to wrestle. I aspire for greatness day and night to be a better wrestler. When 
I am not wrestling, or doing any other type of physical activities (or in the classroom learning), I am thinking about wrestling. I know good and well without maintaining good grades, I won't be successful on the mat. I strive to keep a high grade point average as well as achieving my dream of becoming a developed wrestler known around the world. 

However, I do a few other sports other than wrestling. Wrestling is by far my favorite sport, but I have also played judo for awhile, and I have my green belt (5th rank) in this martial art. The other two high school affiliated sports I compete in are cross-country and golf. I will start them this upcoming school year. I really enjoy these sports, and with my competitive spirit, I put 110% into being the best I can be, but my true passion is wrestling. 

Academically, I have over a 4.0 gpa (out of 4.0) on the weighted scale. I take as many honors classes that Ware Shoals high has to offer, and I am also participating in a duel credit math class (Math 110 and 111), as well as English IIII Honors this upcoming school year. I put as much effort into my grades as I do on the mat. I don't only plan to be successful on the mat, or off the mat, I plan to do both.
