Trent Mills '15 Recruiting Profile

As I sit down to prepare my personal statement for respective colleges and coaches, I ask myself, "what makes me different from other recruits?"

Well, the answer is both simple and complex.  Whilst my family and coaches not only have made huge effects, they continue to make huge effects on my life as a person, student, and wrestler. I know that I am determined to be the best I can be.  Although I know my journey will come along with success, it will also come with failures as well.  However, I have extreme confidence that I will arrive where I strive hard day in and day out to be!

With regard to my athletic abilities, I do not win 'every' match, yet a coach that I belong to will rest assured that I approach each match with the extreme mentality to win and in rare events that I do not win, I am strong minded and possess desired sportsmanship characteristics to accept that I am not perfect, take full responsibility and determine my mistakes to correct them.  To address my skills, I move extremely fast in everything I do and grasp tightly the need for mastered talent and always doing better than my last match.

Further regard shall be given to my education.  My grades are mostly A's and B's.  I am not one to be absent from classes, not one to be a discipline issue.  I have an enormously large support system that is nothing short of a blessing and is there to make sure I stay on the right path.  I take my studies very seriously and certainly understand that my education is the gateway to a successful and productive life.  My education comes first and opens the doors of opportunity to not only athletics but to the quality of my life.    

Whether on the mat or in the classroom, my discipline and determination is to fulfill the best of my abilities, and to ALWAYS push to work the hardest and to be the best.

My expectations and goals of my future is to wrestle in college and be a national champion. I will earn a degree in Engineering. I am determined to be the best and to win at everything I pursue. My goals are long term as my focus will be set to achieve my education and athletic goals. I believe everything I do will equal to the goals of extraordinary destiny. I have personally vowed to endlessly continue to work on me, mentally, physically and spiritually. I WILL succeed in every aspect of my life that I need and want. Although failure is apart of life that we must all accept, I will never stop at failure.  I will continue to drive toward success.
