Personal Statement
Since age four I have been practicing the martial arts, this has helped prepare me both mentally and physically for school, athletics, and part time work. I strive to obtain a college degree that will enable me to obtain my life goals. Currently I am in Boy Scouts, my rank is Life Scout working towards Eagle Scout. I've successfully completed the National Youth Leadership Training and am a member of the Order of the Arrow. I am currently taking both Honors and Advanced Placement courses in school with a current GPA of 3.85. I am a member of the Science National Honor Society. In my wrestling career I've applied the physical training from marital arts and the goal driven lessons learned from obtaining ranks in Scouts to my work ethic. I drive myself daily to learn from every match. I record these matches, along with practices, as well as my thoughts of my wrestling career in a log book. I seek out every tournament to give myself more mat time to improve my techniques and abilities. I greatly appreciate the coaches that have helped me with invaluable lessons from their own careers. I often return to the middle school often to help out new wrestlers. I regard each opponent as an opponent but also another wrestler such like me.
