Personal Statement
I have been wrestling since I was in the womb, as I am a twin and my brother and I went at it from conception. My father was a wrestler from the time he was 7 years old and he wrestled through college. After that, he became a coach. My love for the sport has only grown from junior league to high school wrestling. I have won USA state championships in all three styles and have qualified for regional and national teams for many years. My next goal is to take my wrestling to the next level after high school. Wrestling is the toughest sport because it is one-on-one and it is all up to you. Why I love the sport is because it is up to me to do what I know I can do on the mat, and nobody can wrestle a match for me. Being a college athlete has been in my mind since I was five years old and wrestling is my passion. Coaches have said I am very coachable and that is because I strive with each practice to improve. I know I can give 100% commitment to a collegiate wrestling program while still being committed to my studies. My goal is to enter the medical field in some capacity after college.
