Personal Statement
I am a small town home grown kid in the heart of West Virginia. I am set apart from the rest of collegiate athletes because I do not believe in cussing, drinking, or drugs. It's a waste of life that ruins good talent and good people. In the 12 years I have wrestled, I have set myself apart from the people around me by my work ethic and dedication to this amazing sport. It has taught me how to push myself above and beyond what anyone else could ever imagine. In my wrestling room at Braxton County High School everyone knows that I am the one to push everyone else to be their best. I believe it is up most important to not only make yourself better but help everyone around you better as well. I'm a very fundamental wrestler and I stick to the basics. I am not the strongest kid on the mat but my heart, hustle and skill overcome the strength deficit. I am a leader and I am equipped with some of the best on mat sportsmanship any college coach could find. The life lessons that wrestling has taught me has made me fall in love with this sport and that is why I want to pursue a college career. I would love to come back some day and teach the next generation all wrestling has to offer and being a collegiate wrestler would give me the skills and knowledge to do so.
