My name is Cody Nicholson, I have been wrestling since I was in the 6th grade. In the beginning I wasn't very good and hardly won a match, but I stuck with the sport and aimed to better myself and my teammates. As I went through middle school I won more and more matches, beating the kids that I lost to in the prior years. When I reached high school, the level competition was raised and I had to practice and train harder to get to the top of the competition. When we (the team) started the wrestling season we were asked to make goals for ourselves. The goals that I have set for myself the last few years are:
1. Make the varsity line up.
2. Win more matches then the last year, and
3. To become a better wrestler for next season.
During my sophomore year I earned the" Most Improved Sophomore" award, and at the end of my junior year I was given the" Most Valuable Future Varsity Wrestler" and "The Guts Club" (never missed a practice) awards. I also earned a varsity letter for my sophomore and junior seasons.
