What the Coaches are Saying...
Mar 07, 2019

“When I asked the current players on our team "Why did you look at the University of La Verne?", their initial interest in ULV was generally along the following lines: Wanted to go to school in the Los Angeles area, impressed with the small classroom experience, and we offered an appealing program in the academic field they wanted to study. When I asked them "Why did you commit to La Verne?", nearly every guy had the same answer = Wanted to join the group of welcoming players and the enthusiastic coaches. They wanted to join "the family", a family of players who celebrate for their teammates like the first basket of the game is the game winner. They felt most comfortable with the idea of spending the next four years of their lives away from home with this family. Care to know more about our family? To learn more about the University of La Verne men's basketball program, check out this interview with Assistant Coach Charles Rhys Thieriot:”

“Hello Future Leopards, We are in need of 6-8 more roster spots to be filled in the class of 2018. We are located in Southern California which has a variety of options to be a student-athlete that wants to get the full vibe of the LA/OC/IE area. We need to recruits also that fit in to our "professional" culture that we have put in place. By meaning professional, to have a great sense of time management, a drive to get their degree, a love of the game that will not waver and a love of the weight room. Finally, if this intrigues you please do not hesitate to send an email over. Lets begin the process which is filling out the questionnaire provided or at Filling out an application to the University of La Verne. and the third is filling out the FASFA with us on the number 1 line. We were one of the break out teams in Div 3 last season. We avg over 84+ pts per game. We also in wins avg over 100+ possessions a game. We play fast and we allow our guys freedom. If you want that culture, style, philosophy. Do not hesitate to get in contact with us”
