“Cloud County XC/TF competes in the KJCCC and the NJCAA in Cross Country, Half-Marathon, Indoor Track, and Outdoor Track. Financial Aid, Academic, Athletic, and Club Scholarships are available each season. Cloud County has had tremendous success in Track and Field and Cross Country over the past 40 years. During that time Hall of Fame Coaches Ted Schmitz- Women’s Head Coach (35th year) and Harry Kitchener- Men’s Head Coach (39th year) have helped to produce over 250 NJCAA All-Americans, 200+ NJCAA Academic All-Americans, 46 NJCAA Champions, 5 NJCAA Coach of the Year, and 13 Region VI Coach of the Year awards. Cloud Men’s and Women’s teams have annually placed among the top 10 in the NJCAA at Indoor and Outdoor Championships. Cloud finished the Indoor season with 9 NJCAA All-Americans. 21 athletes qualified to NJCAA Indoor Championships at Winston-Salem, NC. 22 Cloud athletes qualified to the NJCAA Outdoor Championships in Levelland, TX with 12 earning NJCAA All-American Honors. Cloud County holds a nation-wide reputation for developing quality, well rounded student-athletes. Cloud is a great option to transition from the high school level to the NAIA, NCAA D-II, and NCAA D-I championship level. • Cloud Cross Country/Track and Field has produced 9 NJCAA Champions, 64 NJCAA All-Americans, and 35 NJCAA Academic All-Americans since 2012. • Thunderbird athletes have signed scholarships with Kansas State, Texas Tech, Missouri, Louisville, Wichita State, Tennessee State, Georgia State, Western Kentucky, Arkansas Little Rock, Nebraska-Kearney, Fort Hays State, Washburn, Wayland Baptist, Oklahoma Baptist, Doane, Friends, and Mid-America Nazarene since 2012.
