    What the Coaches are Saying...
    Aug 28, 2023

“California Baptist University is a great play to further your education, your golf game, and your faith. We are a highly competitive NCAA division 2 school and we are in the PacWest Conference. As a team we travel all over the place and we get to fly to Hawaii every 2-3 years because 3 of the schools in our conference are located in Hawaii. California Baptist University is know for its Kinesiology and Business Departments. There are many great majors to choose from. However, if you are thinking of playing on the golf team then there are three majors that really don't work with our golf schedule (Music, Engineering, and Nursing). As a University we are constantly growing and expanding. In the past 2 year we have added a new business building, more on campus housing options, and a new state of the art fitness center (which includes a section that is for athletes only). My coaching philosophy is simple...work hard and remain positive. Being positive is a contagious thing and it will affect those around you. One of my favorite quotes is "Whether you think you can, or think you can't...you're right. ~Henry Ford As a coach, I only ask my student athletes for three things: 1. Have a good attitude 2. Be Positive 3. Play Team Golf (Which means never giving up and giving it your best effort all of the time) "Always make a total effort, even when the odds are against you." ~Arnold Palmer Please take a look at our school website and athletics website. http://www.calbaptist.edu/ http://www.cbulancers.com/ If you have any questions please email me (Marc Machado) at [email protected]
