As I’m sure is the same as most towns, to be noticed and get to play, you have to be better than avg.
Since I’ve been in T-ball my dad has taught me that nothing was going to be given to me in sports. If you wanted something, you had to work harder and be better than the other athlete right beside you, that wanted the same thing you did.
Even when he was my coach in little league, he lived by that rule. He never placed me before other athletes. If I wanted to pitch or play first base, and there was another that was better than I was, then that’s who played that position that day.
Because of this, he has taught me to give everything I got into the things I want or love.
Whether it pertains to church, life, family, friends, sports or school; he taught me that you only get out of it, what your willing to put into it.
I’m passionate about baseball and basketball, and whether on the field or the court, game time, or practice, I give it everything I got.
