Personal Statement
- Hello Coaches,
I am Will Miller and I attend Indian Springs School in Birmingham, Alabama. I have grown up playing baseball, and I find it a perfect outlet for escaping the classroom and using my aggression and competitiveness the correct way. Baseball is my biggest passion, and my work ethic and grind to become a better player show this.
I play catcher, first base, and third base. I seem to play catcher and third base the most, despite having a lot of experience at first base. I started on Varsity as a freshman at third base, and my sophomore season I was the starting catcher.
My 15u (or 9th grade) summer season, I played for Team Elite ETS White out of the Greater Atlanta area. I hit .625 and had an extremely high on-base percentage due to being walked or hit by pitch(es) many times this season. In this season, I hit 5 doubles and 2 triples, and my defense improved heavily. This was a cornerstone season for my improvement because I am currently getting better at and working on my weaknesses.
This summer, I am playing for the East Cobb Patriots our of Atlanta, Georgia. I play for Jim Lovejoy, who has focused on improving players and getting them into academic colleges through baseball.
