My name is Daniel Clark, and I am a senior at Hope Christian High School. I am a left handed center fielder and first baseman. I am passionate about improving the game of baseball and work hard to continuously improve in all facets of the game. Coaches would tell you that I am incredibly hard working on and off the field, placing the team ahead of my personal goals. As a grounded ball player, I actively accept feedback and coaching and do not put myself in situations that would allow my character or the integrity of the program to be questioned. As a teammate, I am approachable and I never look to disrupt the continuity or cohesion of the team. In fact, I prefer to sacrifice when appropriate or stand steadfast when necessary to achieve the desired team goals. This game is and has been my life. I am consumed by the game and it is what drives me every day. Nothing brings me more joy than to walk on a field whether practicing or game situations and celebrating every minute of every inning. I want to walk to the office in cleats and know that my job is to play baseball. At this time I am pursuing playing collegiate baseball. I know that the major league is not calling me right now and the only way to continue to improve my skills and develop as a professional in baseball and life is to attend a university.
In addition to my passion for baseball, I feel that I am strong in academics, maintaining a 3.63 GPA while taking honors courses in all of my sciences, Government, and Comparative Religions. I hold a part time job at Publix Supermarket as a Customer Service Associate, scoring very highly on my Employee Evaluation. My Supervisors see me as a positive and enthusiastic worker, being consistent and productive with minimal supervision. In school, I am a member of the Key Club and the Christian Honor Society. I have been a member of the Civil Air Patrol since 2011, having obtained my certifications in basic and advanced ground training in Search and Rescue. Additionally, I am currently working towards acquiring a pilot’s license.
