Will Salihar '25 Recruiting Profile

I have been playing the amazing sport of baseball since I was 3 years old. Since I got my first hit and caught my first flyball, there is nothing I have wanted to do more than play baseball at the highest level possible. I know full well that playing at the collegiate level is an opportunity that could change my entire life.

I was given the gift of having a strong arm. I am a good contact hitter (always putting the ball in play). I am quick both on the bases and defensively, and I have a high baseball I.Q. I take pride in being a helpful and supportive teammate. I am a natural born leader and love encouraging my teammates while setting a good example. My goal is to be the hardest working player and the hardest working recruit you will come across.

I work hard on my game year-round while playing high school ball at Boulder Creek High School. I play summer club ball with various teams and the same with fall ball. I grew up playing all different kinds of sports such as soccer, basketball in middle school, and flag football for 4 years during my elementary and middle school years. I stay fit by running and lifting in the weight room. All these things listed above contribute to my long-developed athleticism.

I maintain a high GPA and am enrolled in several honors classes. I pride myself in making good decisions and I keep good friends around me. I also take good care of myself. I eat right and I am physically and mentally strong. Along with school and baseball training I have a job at Rack Room Shoes which teaches me responsibility and dependability.

I care very much about my education and that will play a huge role in my final college decision. I want a school where I can push myself not only athletically, but in the classroom. I am open to considering any opportunity that comes my way and that will challenge me at the highest level. I hope to make my family proud and prove to be a good role model for my little brother and sister.
