My name is Tucker Knight I was born and raised on a ranch, in northern Arizona. I have been playing baseball my whole life and I have been homeschooled most of my life. I also have a total score of 1480 on my sat, with 570 on math, 410 on reading and a 500 on writing. I've always wanted to play baseball at the next level.
I know that when colleges look for young baseball players. They look at a few things before they look at the athletic ability. First they look at the players academics to make sure that they will be good students, and then they look at their attitude to see if he/she has the will to learn and to be a good teammate.
I'm a very good student and put my academics as my top priority, not just for myself but to for fellow teammates. I am a good sports man and believe win or lose you shake the other teams hand strong. I also am very coach-able , I take what people tell me and use it. I take every opportunity to learn even watching a MLB game on tv. I know that no matter how good someone can get there's always more to learn. Growing up on a ranch has taught me a good work ethic, and has formed me into a good person.
I have been playing baseball from day one it has always been my favorite sport. From the first time I stepped on a mound to pitch I knew that I wanted to pitch at the next level. Going to baseball practice every day to me is the greatest part of the day, I look forward to stepping on that field all day. I also played football, and wrestled all the way up to my freshman year but I didn't my sophomore year because I chose to play club baseball in Mesa Arizona.
I can say that I do play baseball in an aggressive way, but I do know how to calm down and play it safe. Hitting- I like to jump at the first strike, but I know how to play small ball. Base running- I have to say I'm not as aggressive. I play it safe, but I do steal bases on mistakes made by the defense, I guess I can say I take advantage of situations. Pitching- I'm very aggressive. I pitch a first pitch strike, and like to push batters off the plate but I'm also very accurate and can pitch out of a pinch. As a pitcher I feel like I can be two different pitchers depending on the situation. I can be a pitcher who causes a bunch of fly outs and ground balls of I can be a strikeout pitcher. I feel like my biggest strength as a pitch is my ability to keep my composure and to be able to pitch out of bad innings.
I feel like I could be a good fit for your college team and for me to play on a college team would be a dream come true.
Thanks
Tucker Knight
