Personal Statement
I want to play college baseball and I want to receive the best education possible. I understand that this is not easy or simply given. I have always set big goals for myself. These goals I have had since I was 8-10yrs old. I believe that I am the best candidate to any school due to my strong belief in myself! I work hard, I have a willingness to learn. and I believe in being a good teammate at all times.
My grades are at the highest level. My parents instilled into me at a young age the importance of doing good in school. I understand that my grades are as important as my athletic abilities. I believe that the hard work I have done in the classroom has taught me that I can handle college courses and play baseball at the same time.
My primary position is a catcher. My coaches have taught me the importance of the position. I bring so much more than a pop time (as important as it is). My Varsity and Club coaches allow me to call my own games. I have a great understanding of the other positions so I can direct the field. Having field generalship is something I have always possessed and prided myself in.
Offensively, I have a strong bat. Lately my coach has been placing in the 3-5 position in the line-up. I spend time regularly with a hitting coach perfecting my swing.
I hope as you read this you will find that I am right fit for your program and you will take the time to contact me so we can talk about the possibility of me playing for your school.
Thank you,
Todd Furr
