Personal Statement

My goal in life is to play Major League Baseball, I want to be the new shortstop for the San Francisco Giants. I've been wanting to do this career since I was 6 years old! My father played baseball at a younger age but go injured and therefor stopped, but I want to keep playing until it kills me. I play shortstop, Catcher, pitcher, second base and Left field. Something that makes me different from other players is that I won't give up, I learn from my errors and I don't have an attitude if I strike out with runners on base. Also anywhere my coach from my tournament team needs to put me I'm fine with because I can excel at any position. One of the sayings that I follow from when I started playing baseball was "If you don't get dirty while playing, then you didn't play at all" If any teammates are angry or upset, I think it's my job as their friend and teammate to get them to feel better and get their head back in the game. My academics in school are Straight A's and B's. I am an Eighth grader at Raul H. Castro Middle school. The high school that I will be attending will be Copper Canyon High and my second choice is Betty Fair. Fax, the main college in mind is Vanderbilt university  or UCLA. Thank you college coaches for taking the time to read why I should be recruited for a college baseball team.

    Sincerely
                    Alex Palma
