Baseball has always been my passion. It all started when I was the age of 4. I picked up a bat for the first time and instantly felt like a big leaguer. Every day since, I think about that little kid inside of me and how much I will always love the game. My cousin played college baseball and played in the MLB. He influences me as I want to work as hard as he did to be as successful as he was. Watching his career has taught me that hard work is one of the most important pieces of baseball. I have spent my off-season training to be faster and bring more power to my swing. Through playing this game, I’ve learned a lot about myself. I’ve learned to always strive to improve. I've learned that I want to help my teammates and close friends be as successful as they can be on the field or in whatever their passion is. I've also learned that team success feels the best of all.
My academic goal for high school is to maintain a 3.5 or above GPA, which I will aim for in college as well. On my high school team, we talk a lot about the power of supporting one another and being that our mascot is the Coyotes, we do things as a "pack." I believe one of my best characteristics is always being the "heart of the pack." I love to bring energy to the field and to motivate my teammates in everything they do. As a hard worker and a great team player, I know I have what it takes to be a leader on your team. Thank you for considering me.
