Jacob Heppner '22 Recruiting Profile

My goal is to play competitive baseball for a program and coach that honors academics as much as athletics.  I believe I make a good candidate for your team because of my versatility.  I am a lefty pitcher who can rattle hitters with my off speed and breaking pitches.  I can also surprise hitters with my fastball and have 4 pitches that I can locate well which constantly keeps batters guessing.  I can field all three of my positions very well and enjoy the defensive part of the game.  My left-handed bat is my greatest asset as I can hit for power to all fields, make great contact and I am an excellent situational hitter.  I have been a leader on every team I have played on and my goal is to always make the team better and not just myself.  I recently received my team's MVP award for 2021 Varsity season for our 4th ranked team in the State.  Received All 5A Desert West Region 1st team honors - Utility (P/1B).  Won AZ Central Arizona Player of the Week for Week 8.  Also, I cheer on my teammates no matter the outcome and will always play for the name on the front of the jersey.  In addition, I listen to the coaches advice to help me improve as a player and a person.  Most of all, though, I hope to always love the game, treat the game with respect and have fun while doing so.
