Shea Braaten '24 Recruiting Profile

Hello, my name is Shea Braaten and  I am a student-athlete in the class of 2024 for Canyon View High School with a 4.14 GPA.  I am an outfielder and RHP at 5’11, 180lbs.  Some characteristics I present are being a hard worker on and off the field, good teammate, and faith driven.  One unique quality about me is that I thrive in high pressure or tight game situations.  My current role as a pitcher on my team is being a high leverage reliever, and there is something about being put in when the game matters most that I love.  I see myself fitting in with a program that values a player with high athleticism, speed, high contact percentage, and consistently uses the whole field.   I maintain a versatile skill set at the plate by recognizing the importance of situational hitting and working the opposite field with runners in scoring position, and committing to a 2-strike swing by staying short and simple.  I also love looking for the opportunity to bunt for a hit whenever the appropriate situation is present.  My goals are to find a good school that fits my academic desires while striving to take my baseball career to the highest level possible.
