Personal Statement
In the pursuit of higher education, I take great pleasure in sharing my collegiate goals and aspirations. I wish to attend a university which acknowledges my passion for baseball and pushes me to achieve my goals as an athlete and scholar.
I believe that I outshine my peers in the characteristics that I bring along with my talent. I have persevered in the face of opposition and never wavered in my determination to defeat my competition. Although I play many other sports, baseball is definitely my favorite. Since the age of four, I’ve always had a bat and glove in my hands. I even enjoyed watching the Major League Baseball games with my father. At such a young age, I seemed to understand it all. My parents noticed my charisma for it, and enrolled me into the local little league baseball, Cal Ripken and other travel teams. Having their support, allowed me to perfect my craft. Every game I played my hardest and never gave up. Some nights It seemed inevitable to win, but my grit carried me through.
Many people from my hometown started to notice my achievements. The local Newspaper of blytheville has many articles on my personal victories in baseball. I received 5A East All Conference in 2018 and 4A/3 All Conference in 2019. I’ve also received many awards academically. I’ve received Blytheville High school Honor Roll and Principal awards for my high gpa, BHS McDonalds sportsmanship award, and BHS National Beta Club award.
You should save a seat for me. I plan to excel in anything I do regardless where I am. I deserve an education that not only empowers me with knowledge but also the ability to enrich my baseball skills. I would consider myself a guy who is always looking to learn more. Since my dreams are beyond the sky, I know that I can excel in any school that I am admitted to, but I want to be a part of your community. Thank you for your time.
