I am a self motivated athlete. I strive to be better than I was yesterday and it's not just in baseball. I love football (starting for Varsity team as safety and wide receiver and also back up quarterback). I love basketball (starting point guard) and I pole vault (1st place last year at Conference). However, my passion lies on the baseball field. My mom says I am in God's favor no matter what I do.
To give you some insight on what drives me and motivates me; In 2013, just 10 days after I turned 12, I was rushed to Arkansas Children's Hospital. My blood sugar was at 892 (normal should be 75-125) and my organs were shutting down. I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes. My first thought was I couldn't play baseball anymore and my summer team was headed to State Baseball tournament in a week. I was in the hospital almost a week learning what was needed to live with this thing called diabetes. The following week, I helped lead my team to win Arkansas State Tournament. God wrapped me up and continues to show me grace. I know He gives me my strength.
My life cheerleaders are my Mom (she pushes me to do better and be better at everything and is always there), my Dad (who makes sure I have everything I need to accomplish my goals), my two older brothers (Austin & Gabe) and my MeMe (my praying grandma)
