I would like to begin my college career at a university that will be the perfect fit for me both academically and athletically. I have always been fascinated with how the human body works and I also have a great love for sports. Therefore, my intentions are to graduate with a degree in kinesiology and pursue a career in athletic training. Baseball is a game of failure and as a player you have to accept that truth. I believe that self confidence and a disciplined work ethic combined with a positive attitude are the keys to growth and success. I am a student of the game who works very hard at each practice, paying close attention to details. I fully believe that putting in the extra work outside of regular practices is where one separates himself from others. I enjoy watching my fellow teammates succeed and develop as players. I strongly believe in encouraging my teammates, and I work very hard at leading by example. I’m a switch hitter who has power from both sides of the plate and plays several positions on the field. My versatility as a player makes me a valuable asset for my team, and my willingness to continue to learn the game while always remaining coachable is an attribute which I take pride in. I have always been taught that work comes before play, and I believe that success must first be proven in the classroom before it can be achieved on the field.
