My name, Nahuel, which means “heart of a tiger,” has always reminded me to stay strong, determined, and focused, no matter what challenges come my way. Tigers are known for their courage, resilience, and relentless pursuit of their goals; I try to live up to that every day. Growing up in a family where money was tight and my dad worked long hours to make sure we had what we needed, I learned that hard work and perseverance are essential for overcoming obstacles.
Watching my dad face financial struggles while still pushing through to provide for us has had a huge impact on me. He never gave up, even when things got tough, and that’s something I’ve carried with me. His determination to give us a better life, despite not having a college degree or a lot of resources, inspired me to push myself further and not let any setbacks define me. My family’s circumstances have taught me the value of working hard, being resourceful, and never taking anything for granted.
The combination of my name’s meaning and my family’s experiences has shaped me into someone who doesn’t back down when faced with adversity. I’ve learned to keep going, even when things get difficult because I know that with determination, anything is possible. It’s this drive that motivates me to pursue my goals, like going to college, playing baseball, and building a better future for myself and my family. I truly believe that the heart of a tiger is within me, and it’s what will help me keep moving forward, no matter what challenges I face.
