Hello. I am Cameron Murphy and baseball has been a part of my life ever since I can remember. Some of the earliest pictures are of me standing with a stick and hitting objects in the backyard. Consequently, I was enrolled me in T-Ball as soon as I was able at 3 years old and this was the beginning of the complicated relationship with the greatest American pastime.
There is a love-hate relationship being an athlete. It’s actually more complicated when playing baseball. Mark Teixeira has been quoted that baseball is a game of failure. It’s great when everything is going well with the result of a win but learning to handle not playing well and losses can be tough. I have found this is the best learning opportunity to evaluate how to improve, supporting teammates with disappointments and finding ways to be a better sportsman. More than anything, by playing baseball I have learned to be resilient.
I would be honored to play at the next level and I am looking for a college that would be the best fit for me to thrive academically as well.
