My name is Michael Voorhees and I am excited to have the opportunity to play college baseball. I am a 2023 graduate who is 5’ 10” and 160 pounds. This year I played outfield and pitched occasionally (RHP). Here is a little insight into my life. Very similar to how there are four bases on a baseball field, there are four main areas in my life:
- Second base is school. I am in honors and AP classes and work hard to get the best grades I can. My favorite class is AP Physics. Although this is the hardest class I’ve taken, I find it interesting to learn about how the world works.
- Third base is music. I’ve played trombone since fifth grade; during my freshman year I was in the HS marching band. I’ve learned a lot and made many friends. I also taught myself guitar during the pandemic and I enjoy it very much. I find that guitar is trickier than trombone, but it is very satisfying when all my hard work pays off and I am able to play a song. I’ve joined my church youth band and am enjoying playing with them.
- Home plate is God, family, and friends. I am very grateful for the support and love of my family and friends, and I appreciate everything they do to push me to be the best person I can be. God is also a very important part of my life. Whatever happens, as long as my faith stays strong, I will be happy in life.
Thank you for taking the time to read my profile. If you have any questions please feel free to contact me at [email protected]. I am looking forward to learning more about your program.
