August 2016Personal Statement
I am part of the class of 2018 at Arcadia High School in Arcadia, California. I am a pitcher and a catcher on my team, and during the off season, we play as a travel team. In summer, I also play on a travel team called the KBA Vandals. I am passionate about baseball because it is a competitive sport that requires both physical abilities and mental awareness, and my dream is to continue playing baseball at a college of my choice.
I am serious about everything I do. During the games, I am aggressive and always leave everything I have on the field. I am a team player, and I respect my coaches. Off the field, I work hard in the classrooms and give my teachers my undivided attention. I challenge myself with a rigorous curriculum, and I am also currently the president of a club called Students Promoting Literacy, which I feel is meaningful because it provides a chance to give back to my community.
