Personal Statement
I am currently working hard in the classroom and sports field in order to receive a scholarship and continue my baseball career at the collegiate level. My main academic goal in High School is to achieve good grades, work hard and manage my time well so I can continue to maintain a 4.0 GPA. I am different from many other athletes in that I regularly volunteer at church on my weekends and do a lot of work on my own in this sport in addition to the work I put in on the practice field. I would be an asset to any collegiate team because I am easy to work with, am very coachable, and am willing to do anything to improve my skills. I always treat people with respect, am fun to be around, and I work well with others. In athletics I am very strong, have good hand-eye coordination, hit for power and am very quick from the catcher's position throwing runners out trying to steal. I was honored after my sophomore baseball season with the selection of the Victory League MVP award, voted by our league coaches. I am excited about my future and look forward to playing at the next level.
