Personal Statement
My goal is to play college ball and beyond. It has always been my goal to earn a college degree but how sweet would it be to do that and get to play baseball at the same time!
I have been in training for baseball constantly and how that makes me a good candidate for a college coach's team is that I am a seasoned baseball player. I am a disciplined athlete; from practices, games, to working out on my own. I train consistently, adding velocity training and speed training to my regimen of tee work, batting, position drills, throwing and defensive drills. Aside from school coaches, I seek out training from specialty trainers, to former college SS standout like Jack Jones from Fullerton, to Trent Oeltjen and Aaron Miles. Additionally, I competed in Cary, North Carolina having earned a spot as a MIF in the NTIS Team USA tryouts two years in a row! It was one of my greatest experiences thus far and I would like more of it!
What makes me different from other recruits is the heart I put into the game. In any game, I make it my mission to make a contribution to our team's success. It won't be fireworks, but it is solid work. I constantly work on my 5 tools. I am a study of the game. I am coachable, respectful, and I put in the work without prodding. My academics is something that I don't find difficult although to be honest, I could probably be better with my gpa. (currently around 3.6) Most importantly, I have a great support system with my family. They've been around. They know the drill. They always tell me, my success depends on what I put into it.
