Christian Bugarin '23 Recruiting Profile

My passion is education, baseball and giving back to my community. I come from a low income community, and unfortunately many families dont have the financial resources to place their children into competitive youth sports. My passion is to help young athletes at the elementary and middle school level on my spare time to develop their baseball skills. I spend time on the field working on fundamentals but more importantly, give them a big brother to relate with and spend time with. I want to give my community an expectation that anything is possible, if a kid like me makes it to play at the college level, that would help inspire the kids I mentor to feel like anything is possible. It’s not about me anymore; it’s about my community. I love playing baseball and I hope to use that as my tool to inspire. My academic growth is just as important, I dream of being an inspirational leader in my career someday, I plan on continuing my education until my  name starts with Dr. Again, it’s not about me, it’s about the kids and my family looking up to me and following my success, and with that, empower my community to work hard for their dreams.
