Shane Salzman '18 Recruiting Profile

I am a very outgoing a dedicated student when it comes to school. To me school comes first over anything including athletics. I believe that I am an outstanding candidate for any collegiate baseball team. I bring a lot of talents to the table as well as baseball IQ, during games I tend to be very into the game even if I am quiet. I believe that sometimes quiet is good because in the dugout a team should not want to be loud and obnoxious noise, they should want to be just loud enough that the other team fears them. I also believe that I am a very good role model on and off the field, I say this because if a teammate is struggling with homework or is having problems with anything, I try and help them out as much as I can and on the field even if I am not the best player I try to show leadership towards everyone because a team tends to bond better when they have more then one person that they can trust and befriend. I am different from a lot of other players because I do not like to wonder around and just do whatever, I normally like to occupy myself with activities that I know will not get me in any sort of trouble. I am a very hard worker and my mom always says that I tend to have to have everything perfect which in my mind helps me with my mechanics and pushes me to be very successful in a game that is very competitive. During academics I normally enjoy all my classes I take because school is interesting to me, especially math and science. I am a very organized person and I already know to the most part what I academically want to do in life.
