My name is Riz Collado and I am a 2022 multi-talented student athlete maintaining a 4.4 GPA. Although I’m a 2 sport high school athlete, juggling both baseball and water-polo, my true passion is baseball which I’ve played since I was 4 years old. I am capable of handling an incredibly busy schedule while maintaining a strong balance between athletics, education, and extracurricular activities. I participate in ASB, Business Academy, Angels RBI participant and volunteer, member of Unified Sports (for special needs students), I work as a Camp Coach at SCATS Gymnastics and am a youth ministry leader at St. Bonaventure Church.
These activities have helped me see the value of teamwork targeted towards a common goal. All of this combined with my daily baseball training and high GPA has confirmed that I am capable of hard work and perseverance and that I’d be a great candidate for many collegiate baseball programs.
Although I would love to stay on the West Coast to play collegiate baseball, I am open to playing in other parts of the country. Location is just a small factor in my decision. Overall, I am focused on looking for college where I can continue to live out my passion for baseball and community service with the youth, as well as further my education. I plan to major in STEM and potentially pursue a career in engineering, renewal energy, or biomedical engineering.
