- FB: 72-75 CB: 64 CH: 68 Would like to see greater velo difference between FB/CH Good lines on mechanics/delivery Quick take away Need to incorporate a consistent long toss and throwing program to improve FB velo When doing flat ground, make sure to throw CH after FB to get feel for arm speed of FB when throwing CH (want arm speed to be same, grip slows pitch down) I hope this information helps with Michael’s off-season workouts. Our pitching coach, Justin Ramsey will have a pitching clinic the first weekend of December. This instructional clinic will cover everything we do with our pitchers from the mental, mechanical, and strategy, as well as other areas that are important to being a competitive pitcher. Hopefully Michael will be able to attend because he will receive hands on instruction from Coach Ramsey, the LBSU Baseball staff, and former LBSU pitchers.
