Benjamin Keisler '25 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been a major part of my family's history. Through baseball, my grandfather was the first member of our family to attend college, by earning a baseball scholarship to CSU Long Beach where he pitched all four years. In my own life, baseball has given me the opportunity to learn about hard work, teamwork, and sacrifice. I currently play for my high school varsity team--Millikan High School, in Long Beach California--in one of the most competitive regions in the country for division 1 high school baseball. 

Playing high school baseball at this level is preparing me to meet the demands required of college baseball: balancing academic achievement, rigorous athletic training, and personal commitments. Rising each morning at 5:45 am to run, swim, and lift weights with my dad, has laid the foundation for delivering consistent results over time including: Freshman team MVP, Varsity Rookie of the year, 1st Team All League, and multiple academic honors. This is the foundation of hard work and sacrifice that I will bring to your program on day 1.
