Personal Statement
My name is Brenden Raggett I’m 17 years old, I attend Westchester High School. I am energetic, very determine and outgoing. I show leadership in different aspects especially in regards to education and baseball. The different ways that I show leadership in education, an example is if one of my peers need help on a subject or an assignment, I will try to assist in answering the question at hand. In assisting in answering the question the other student may not have understood some of the concepts and go over the task at hand step by step until they understand it better. Another way of showing leadership is being the captain of the baseball team. As the captain of the baseball, I have to make sure the team stay focus and eligible educationally to play and to show up to practice to get better. Whenever the coach is not there I will step up and lead the team. My greatest talent is that I have learned the over years is the game of baseball. Since I was 3, I was playing and learning the game of baseball until present. Over time my game progressed and participated in more tournaments, and attended camps with trainers and professionals. I would like to pursue baseball and hopefully it will take me to the professional level. Additionally, I became interested in Environmental Science in which currently I am currently enrolled in Advanced Placement. At first, I wasn’t sure about taking this class because I knew it would be a challenge in preparing for college courses. AP Environmental Science has opened my mind up more about the environment and changed how I treat, look, and respect the environment.
