Personal Statement
My mother has been instrumental in my development towards becoming a model individual. She has invoked a hard driven work ethic to become the best student athlete. Since the age of 3, I have participated in organized sports on many competitive levels. Once in High School, I've narrowed down the sports I wish to pursue; baseball has become my passion throughout and grown to embrace basketball. Both of which I'm honored to be a team captain and inquire leadership skills towards building a camaraderie with coaching staff and fellow teammates.
Throughout my pursuit of higher education, Physical Therapy has caught my attention. Thus far, I've begun the process of taking courses that can prepare me for this major. My journey of interest into sports medicine started when I had to overcome sports injuries. I've had to sacrifice and build back to being a stronger athlete along the way staying focused in the classroom. This takes heart, determination, and commitment. But, I'm no stranger to these tasks because it's also the recipe towards survival of life itself. Humbly, I've taken on many roles in my family structure and competitive team sports, and look forward to an opportunity to grow at the next level!
