Personal Statement

After a very successful freshman college season, I have decided to go after my dream of playing at the highest level of baseball possible. I played at UCSD, the #2 ranked D2 school in the nation where I hit .322. I was selected to the CCAA all tournament team and played for a national championship.  I made a tough decision to leave UCSD and attend my local junior college, Saddleback JC,  to begin the process of moving to Division 1.

I have high expectations for myself. I work harder in school and in athletics than anyone I know. I continually strive to improve in all aspects of my life. I played football and baseball in high school where I maintained a 3.9 GPA. I stand out on the baseball field with my speed, athletic ability and power.

In football, I was the team captain. I led my team to a CIF Championship. I was selected 1st Team All CIF as a Running Back. I led the league in rushing yards and was seventh in rushing in the entire county of Orange. I have played football since I was 7 years old and I feel the athletic ability I gained from playing football helps me in all aspects of baseball.

In baseball, I play outfield. I ran a 6.59 60 yard dash. In high school, I was selected 1st Team All-League and 2nd Team All-CIF as an outfielder. I have competed in the USA Baseball NTIS event in Cary North Carolina for a spot on team USA. I was selected to tryout at the southern California Area code tryout for the Milwaukee Brewers Area Code team. I also play for the Tampa Bay Rays Scout team. My junior and season year I was one of the top hitters in all of CIF.

I played for a prominent Club team named the So Cal Birds that is coached by a former MLB player.

With my success in College and High school at this point, I will not slow down my training, practice or academics. It only makes me excited to work harder. What ever team, school or college I play for, I will work to make the team successful and help them win!

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
