Personal Statement

My passion for baseball began at age 3, the day I started I knew this was something I wanted to do for a very long time. As I continue to get older, I do my best in finding my full potential. I like the competitiveness in baseball, I was driven to play the advance competitive teams. When I played competitive teams I found new ways to improve on my own skills, drills and learning from others. I play baseball because when I step on the field whether I am playing 3rd, 1st, 2nd, shortstop, right field or pitcher I get a rush to keep playing and I live for that rush. The excitement I get playing the game fills me up and I don't want to stop.

My impacts on a team and my strengths are great. I can play multiple positions and I can play them well. I have humility which I learned through my own experiences playing baseball and ways to grow as a player. Because I can be used for multiple positions I am valuable to teams to play positions if someone becomes hurt or injured in games. I adapt quickly. I also believe I have good communication with my teammates, I don't make them feel bad for striking out or making  errors. I support them by cooling them down and helping them improve themselves for the next opportunity on the field. I feel like my strengths in the game are athleticism, range and knowledge of the game. My height is an advantage for all my positions and being able to catch balls that might otherwise be out of range for others. My motivation for playing ball and getting into college also determines my determination to keep my grades on track. I try hard to keep my grades up so that I can play college ball. My grades also determine my success and I know I have to meet qualifications for college.

I am trying hard to keep my grades on track and keep growing as a player, I could academically fit well into colleges that support student athletes. I would like to be part of a college that accepts a utility player. I can adapt to weather  changes and play ball in different weather conditions. I train hard and hope to one day play college ball and get drafted. We can all dream. I know I have to continue to be on time for classes, turn in work, and be present academically to meet my goals, as I have done and will continue to do. I know that I must continue to improve in school and grow as an academic student. I also know that student athletes, good student athletes help increase student enrollments in school. I will represent a college well if I commit to a college.  The potential I have for myself and for others that watch me play are high and as I continue to train hard and show my love for this game, I have faith things will fall into place for me.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
