Personal Statement

I truly believe in achieving a nice balance between academics and athletics.  The hard work, dedication, and respect within the classroom can translate directly to the baseball field.  Both coaches and teachers will attest to the fact that I am a true leader on and off the field.  I am a dedicated friend and teammate to those around me and will give selflessly to those in need.  As a student and athlete, I thrive in pressure situations.  Whether it's a final exam or a no out bases loaded situation, I maintain my composure and confidence, meeting the task head on and completing it to the best of my ability.

It is important to me to find a school where I can play baseball at the next level, but at the same time earn my degree to help propel me to the next stages of my life and career. Over the course of my life, athletics in general have taught me responsibility, accountability, time management, team work, and compassion.  All of these characteristics I truly believe will help me in my future endeavors.
