Jacob Cook '25 Recruiting Profile

My name is Jacob Cook and I would consider myself a dedicated and hardworking baseball player.  I’m an athlete who is knowledgeable and mentally tough.  I am a versatile player who can fill any position asked of me and will work hard to perfect my game at every position.  My most important accomplishments are participating in numerous high-level tournaments, including National events in Florida, Arizona, and Reno.  I have been a committed player on my current travel ball team for the past 8 years.  I have been an asset to my Citrus Valley High School teams the past two years, and helped lead my Freshman team to win the Citrus Belt League.  I would consider myself a leader on the team. 

My goal to play baseball in college has motivated  me to work harder and push myself to succeed at a high level.  What I can offer a team is the commitment to improve my game at every level to be a valued asset to the team.  I am passionate and baseball minded, committing myself to be a leader that promotes excellence and positivity wherever I go.  I work to push myself, as well as, my teammates to be the best we can be. 

When it comes to choosing a college to attend, I am willing to consider West Coast schools.  I love living in California and would like to keep my roots close to home.  As far as divisions, I am open to any division and would like to focus on finding a school that best fits me.  I want a school that will give me the experience of playing competitive baseball while enriching my academic experience.  I have not settled on a Major yet but am interested in Math, Sciences and Engineering.  

My realistic athletic goals are to continue to compete at a high level, while working to produce my personal best.  I am currently a volunteer coach on a 11U  travel ball team, which motivates me to be an example to those who come behind me.  I want to teach my peers, teammates, and students how to advance their skills, work hard at their goals, and exude passion in all that they do, on and off the field.
