Personal Statement
Out of my three years starting on a varsity baseball team, I learned more from losing the valley championship game my freshman year than I did from winning the valley game my junior year. I believe that it was because of that experience, I learned what was expected of a championship team. Some key components I learned from that one game specifically was how important communication is within your own team. This is something I am carrying with me as a returning captain of this team. Another crucial aspect that I am integrating into my work ethic is creating an environment that is productive and respectful. As a captain, I know that my behavior influences the rest of my team. Being in this position will allow me to lead by example and set a positive attitude for every coach and player on the field.
I am extremely thankful for the opportunities I have received through such a great program. My time spent at Immanuel has taught me many things, and I look forward to applying them to a college program. I am confident that I have both the athletic and academic abilities that it requires to play baseball at the next level.
