Corey Cater '17 Recruiting Profile

Hi Coach,

My name is Corey Cater. I am a 16 year old junior at Valley Christian Academy.  I am a 6" 4" RHP and I also play first base. This is my third year of Varsity baseball.  My ERA is 2.10 with a 4/1 strikeout to walk ratio.  I average more than a strike out per inning.

This fall I played for the Toronto Blue Jays Scout team.  Our schedule consisted of playing junior colleges and other scout teams.  In my 10 appearances I allow only 1 earned run.  I attribute that in large part to the excellent command I have of all my pitches.

My goal is to play collegiate baseball.  I look forward to being a part of a team that shares my passion for the game, for hard work, for having fun and for achieving team goals.

Academically I work hard and maintain a 3.85 GPA.  I am currently undecided on a major but I am leaning towards Sports Management or Graphic Design.

I hope through my hard work, dedication and perseverance to achieve my goal of pitching in the Major Leagues.
