My name is Philip Diana and I am a rising senior at Point Loma High School in San Diego, CA. I was born on October 23, 2000 in San Diego, CA. I am currently 5'11" and 160 LBS. I am a right handed hitter as well as a right handed thrower. My primary position is 3rd base and my secondary position is 1st base, although I also play up the middle and in the outfield. I love the game of baseball. Since the age of four I have played this great game. I respect the game as well as all the people that have played with me over the years. I've had the opportunity to learn the game from many coaches as well as other players. Most importantly, I know I wouldn't be the player that I am today without my parents. My parents are very positive people. They have always supported me and are always telling me how I can not only improve my baseball abilities but also improve myself. When I am not playing baseball or not in school/job, I enjoy working out, hanging out with my family and friends, collecting sports memorabilia, playing soccer, watching college/pro baseball, and going to the beach. My school, my job, and baseball take up most of my time. Throughout both the season and offseason, I work out at least four times a week and take at least one day off to recover. I also work as a Lifeguard at the Naval Base Point Loma pool where I am CPR, AED, and First Aid certified. When it comes to college, I would like to major in either communications or business. If baseball doesn't work out after college, I would like to get into sports journalism and broadcasting. As far as my most important accomplishments, I have been on the honor roll since my freshmen year, I have played both baseball and soccer competitively since I was four and also played both during my freshman and sophomore year (I decided to focus on baseball this year), I received the honors of "hardest worker", "best attitude", and "most competitive" for my high school this past season, and was one of four sophomores chosen to attend a leadership conference in Chicago in 2017. In conclusion, I would like to assure all of the college coaches interested in me that I'm a hard worker and very coachable. I am always striving to be a better student, baseball player, and person each and every day. I would love to be an addition to your team.
