Ben Rannazzisi '24 Recruiting Profile

Baseball has been my passion ever since I have been able to pick up a bat and ball. I learned from a very young age that playing collegiate baseball was my goal. I have learned over the years of playing this sport that the more diversity thrown at me, the hungrier I get. I was quickly humbled my first two years of high school ball, when I was not playing at the level I was hoping to be at. This inspired me to work harder towards my goal. 

    I have always been hard on myself in the classroom. This type of mentality has played a big role in my life. It has helped me realize the importance of fulfilling the student-athlete title and has opened up many new opportunities for me. While playing baseball, I've had to overcome many obstacles, the most difficult being the mental side. I often find myself struggling with my confidence and ability to play the sport I love most. When I feel myself falling into these slumps, I remind myself to keep believing and I strive to come back everyday with grit and determination to better myself and my game.
