Nicholas Glafkides '20 Recruiting Profile

    I am a well rounded student that loves to develop new skills and abilities. I work diligently to balance schoolwork and training along with spending time with family and friends. As an athlete, I have always enjoyed competing against those who have developed more skill than I have. Learning from examples is a significant portion of my growth, not only as an athlete, but as a brother, son, and friend. As a freshman and sophomore, I played on my high school football team where I played wide receiver and free safety. Throughout my athletic career, I have always enjoyed playing many different sports. I would work to juggle different sports such as soccer, basketball, lacrosse, and football. The different aspects of these sports have taught me how to use my leadership skills towards holding my teammates as well as myself accountable during practices, scrimmages, film sessions, and competitions. Using leadership to methodize an intensity throughout all of the aspects of our growth as baseball players, we are able to play at a high intensity and maintain discipline during games. In my free time, I enjoy working at a soup kitchen that provides hot meals and groceries to those who are in need in our community. I find it fulfilling to help other people that do not have the opportunities that I have. 

    I aspire to use my leadership skills at the collegiate level where I myself can be influenced by my teammates. Having the opportunity to play at such a high level has been a dream of mine since I started playing T-ball. I believe that I have the work ethic, leadership skills, athletic ability, and love for the game to play at the collegiate level. I look forward to obtaining more experience on my collegiate recruiting journey and hope to discover schools that will challenge me both academically and athletically.
