Ethan Payne '22 Recruiting Profile

I have loved baseball ever since my first years of little league when I was around 5 years old. My dad played baseball at a high level so I knew playing college baseball would be my ultimate goal. My coaches have always taught me to be able to play multiple positions on the field and I have really taken their advice to heart by being able to play every position on the field. Baseball has taught me to be a selfless player and always put the team's needs above my own. If a coach needs to put me in a position on field where I might not prefer to play it doesn't matter, the team needs me and I'm going to go out there and give it 110%. I will always be: the best team member FOR the team while holding my teammates and myself accountable; the most consistent and loyal cheerleader when on the bench while still competing to be on the field for every play;  the most dedicated student of the game while continuing grow and learn both in school and my life outside the game showing my character every day. Lastly, my baseball aspirations go beyond high school and my personal aspirations go beyond college as I want to be very successful in my chosen field. For now my goals are simple, get good grades, graduate and play college baseball at the highest level. If a University is looking for a player that will make the school proud with a desire to be the best person and player they can become, then I hope to be on their radar.
